BESI Awarded Summerdale Contract

 Beaufort Engineering Services, Inc. (BESI), a full-service engineering firm based in Fairhope, has been awarded the contract for the Maximus Meats project in Summerdale. BESI is providing engineering services for the construction of a new 29,000-ft² meat processing facility where livestock will be processed onsite. The facility will also include a retail space with a full kitchen for precooked orders, a general merchandise area and other offices. Scheduled to open in 2025, Maximus Meats represents an $11-million project expected to create more than 50 jobs.
