Business Opportunity Fair For Civic Arena Project

Mobile Mayor Sandy Stimpson recently announced that the City of Mobile’s Office of Supplier Diversity will partner with Volkert Inc. and Norman Hill Consulting Solutions to host a Business Opportunity Fair on June 6 at the National Maritime Museum of the Gulf of Mexico to highlight how local businesses can get involved with the new Civic Arena project in downtown Mobile. There will be a short reception at 5:30 p.m., and the hour-long program will begin at 6 p.m. Local businesses can learn about the various opportunities that a project of this scale will create for local suppliers and contractors. It will also explain what is required to work with the City of Mobile and offer insight into preparing competitive bids and proposals for public projects. “We want to make sure that local businesses of all kinds have the tools they need to compete for opportunities related to this multi-million [dollar] project,” Stimpson said.
