JESCO To Receive Minority Business Advocate Award

The Mobile Chamber is gearing up for its annual celebration of minority businesses, the Eagle Awards. JESCO, Inc. Construction is the winner of the Rev. Wesley A. James Minority Business Advocate Award, recognizing the company’s “unwavering support for supplier diversity, mentorship and community engagement,” the chamber said. Established in 1941, JESCO offers services ranging from general construction and design-build to mechanical-electrical and steel fabrication. JESCO’s one-on-one mentorship process helps foster an ongoing relationship of learning, dialogue and growth. JESCO also sponsors community events, donates toys and works with workforce development coaches in local schools. “A true success story is JESCO’s role in the Mobile International Airport project, where [it] not only met but often exceeded [its] goals for participation from companies categorized as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise—a testament to [its] commitment to supplier diversity and inclusion,” the chamber added. JESCO and the other recipients will be honored during the 2024 Eagle Awards at the Battle House Hotel on October 11.
