MACE Award Winners Announced, Event To Be Held March 26

The Mobile Area Council of Engineers (MACE) will celebrate excellence in engineering across the Mobile area on March 26 at the MacQueen Alumni Center at the University of South Alabama from 5-8 p.m. with the annual MACE Awards. These awards recognize outstanding engineers whose work, leadership, and service strengthen the profession and community. The 2025-2026 recipients are Young Engineer of the Year Katelyn Finnorn of Volkert, Inc.; Individual of Special Recognition Martina Ann Lohr of Gulf States Engineering, Inc.; Chemical Engineer of the Year Jacob “Jay” E. Lemoine of Hargrove Engineers & Constructors; Civil Engineer of the Year Jay Davison of Thompson Engineering, Inc.; Electrical Engineer of the Year Wesley Ainsworth of Hargrove Engineers & Constructors; Mechanical Engineer of the Year Jennifer McCartney of Hargrove Engineers & Constructors; Aerospace Engineer of the Year John Wooten of Airbus; Engineering Educator of the Year Dr. Bhushan Lohar, Ph.D. of the University of South Alabama; Engineering Project of the Year of ArcelorMittal Calvert and Austal USA; and Marine Engineer/Naval Architect Yannick Labrecque of Austal.
