The Highland Group Receives Platinum Safety Rating

The Highland Group has announced it has achieved the Platinum level in the Associated Builders and Contractors’ STEP Safety Management System. The company says it employs extensive pre-construction planning, jobsite safety meetings and direct interaction with vendors and subcontractors. It added that new hires undergo a comprehensive orientation, followed by regular field audits and mandatory safety trainings throughout the year. The Highland Group introduced a safety compliance officer role this year. The person holding this position is responsible for overseeing subcontractor and vendor vetting processes, approvals, recruitment and relationship building. This approach is intended to ensure all parties involved are properly licensed, insured and qualified to serve their projects and clients. As part of the STEP Safety Management System, The Highland Group demonstrated exceptional competency, achieving perfect ratings in four out of five categories.
