Each September, Business Alabama features its annual rankings of the state’s general contractors, subcontractors, engineering firms and architecture firms, and the nomination period for this year’s survey is open through July 22. In describing the rankings, Business Alabama said, “Construction is a vital part of Alabama’s economy—not only for those it employs directly, but [also] for all the other industries it touches. For every announcement the state makes regarding a new company locating in Alabama, a construction firm—whether it is an architect, engineer, subcontractor or general contractor—will be involved in the project, and, in some cases, multiple construction firms will be involved.”
