Goodwin Mills Cawood Creates Recovery Division

Architecture/engineering firm Goodwin Mills Cawood recently launched a disaster-recovery department. The company, with offices throughout the Southeast, including Mobile, commissioned it with the goal of helping restore communities in the wake of hurricanes, tornadoes and other crises. Services it will provide include pre-disaster planning; debris management; and financial recovery help, including through the Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery Program. Robert Ramsey, executive vice president, was tapped to lead the division. He has years of similar experience at the company, having provided disaster-recovery services for numerous municipalities throughout the Southeast. The firm has also consulted with utility companies on disaster recovery and worked with the Federal Emergency Management Agency on recovery funding.
