Gulf Coast Robotics Returns With Fall Program, Sponsors Sought

BEST (Boosting Engineering, Science, Technology) Robotics is a national nonprofit that has inspired students through hands-on robotics competition for decades, and Gulf Coast BEST (formerly Jubilee BEST) is returning after a multiyear hiatus to host the local competition at W.P. Davidson High School in November. The BEST Robotics network, hosted and supported by BTE Connect, allows student teams from across the Gulf Coast to take on a brand-new engineering challenge, building competitive robots with the added benefit of also building skills, confidence and curiosity that can carry into any career path. Ten Gulf Coast teams are scheduled to participate in the fall program with a kickoff in September and the local competition on November 6 and 7. A certain number of teams from the local competition will be able to advance to the South’s BEST Robotics Championship in Huntsville in December. Gulf Coast BEST is currently seeking sponsorships for the fall program. Those interested can contact BTE Connect at email.
