Senior Living Community Breaks Ground In Daphne

Panama City Beach, Florida-based Sage Development Group and the Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce recently broke ground on Seagrass Village Daphne, a 135-unit senior living community. “Poised on 20 acres of well-accessed land between the Spanish Fort, Fairhope and Mobile Bay regions… Seagrass Village will meet a measurable market demand for additional senior living options in the region,” the chamber said. With a projected opening in mid-2023, the amenity-rich, resort-style environment will offer 45 independent living apartments, 45 independent living cottages and 45 assisted living options. The project is managed by SRI Management. Arrive Architecture and interior designer Lori Bates Interiors designed the 184,000-ft2 building, and EMJ Construction is leading the building team. The community will be rich in amenities with a wellness center, bistro and pub, private dining room, outdoor dining, and a salon and spa. It will offer local residents approximately 50 full-time jobs, infusing more than $1.5 million in annual salary and wages into the region.
