The Highland Group Completes Community Center In Florida

The Highland Group, a real estate development and commercial construction firm based in Foley, has announced the successful completion of the Bay Dunes Community Center in Florida. This facility is designed to function as both a community center and an emergency operations center during times of crisis. Constructed with advanced technology and resources, The Bay Dunes Complex is fully operational in any situation and will serve as a hardened shelter for residents during even the most severe natural disasters. Construction commenced in fall 2022, and The Highland Group completed the project on schedule and within the allocated budget. With a total project value of $2.6 million, the complex was funded through the Federal Emergency Management Agency as part of Hurricane Michael recovery efforts and contracted to The Highland Group by the Bay County Commission.
