The Highland Group Wins Second Contract For CACC

The Highland Group, a real estate development and commercial construction firm headquartered in Foley, has been awarded its second contract for Coastal Alabama Community College (CACC), this time to provide a major addition to the Monroeville Campus’ Allied Health Building, as well as limited renovations to existing facilities. The new construction will be a 3,000-ft2, single-story addition that will serve as the home for the College’s Welding Program. The addition includes a large learning space outfitted with new welding stations and worktables. The renovations will also convert the existing field maintenance shop into another welding space and maintenance lab for the largely trade-oriented college campus. This will be the second welding facility The Highland Group has constructed for the community college system and another in a series of higher education projects the firm has undertaken in recent years.
