Thompson Foundation Awards 2024 Funding To Local Organizations

The Thompson Holdings Foundation awarded $78,500 to community organizations and charities at its first meeting of 2024. Some of the organizations receiving funding in 2024 include Special Spectators, Mississippi Robotics, Feeding the Gulf Coast, the Drug Education Council and the Westchase District Community Fund in Louisiana. Additionally, the foundation continued supporting Flight Works’ “We Will Build it Better” program, which engages elementary school students in science, technology, engineering and mathematics learning. The Thompson Foundation encourages employees of Thompson Engineering, Watermark Design, Thompson Consulting Services and Meyer Engineers to request funds for the organizations they support through volunteer service. The foundation supports a variety of causes, including health and social welfare, environmental and cultural resource preservation, civic and community development, arts and recreation, and education in the form of grants and scholarships. Recipients include organizations and students across the Thompson companies’ affiliated footprint. The foundation raises funds through company contributions, employee donations and an annual fishing rodeo. Since its inception, it has given more than $1.3 million to more than 200 organizations.
