ASHA Coming To Gulf Shores

More than 100 early childcare educators, exhibitors and presenters will gather on October 1 and 2 at The Lodge at Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores for the Alabama Head Start Association (ASHA) Fall Conference. This year’s theme is “Unlocking Doors of Opportunity: Shaping Alabama’s Future Leaders.” Attendees from across Alabama and beyond will network, see a variety of resources from exhibitors and sponsors, attend breakout sessions and an awards ceremony, and listen to presenters. Keynote speaker Dr. Felecia Lucky is president of the Black Belt Foundation, where she helps provide opportunities to transform the region. Kelvin O. Thomas, director of early childhood and family services for Enrichment Services Program, Inc., will close out the conference with remarks on early childhood educators setting the stage for lifelong learning and school success. “The event provides relevant information to support early care educators in a setting that provides tangible resources and unique networking for the attendees to ensure children receive the best start in life,” said Tracy Belt, president of the AHSA board and collaboration coordinator for Enrichment Services Program.
