ASMS President Named To Alabama STEM Council

Alabama School of Math and Science (ASMS) President Dr. John Hoyle has been appointed to serve on the Alabama STEM Council by Gov. Kay Ivey. The council advises on ways to improve science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM)-related education, career awareness and workforce development across the state. Those appointed to the council are leaders from across Alabama who represent business, education and government. “We have already been collaborating with the Alabama STEM Council through the STEM EcoSystem design team and STEM Chief Science Officers program. To have the opportunity to serve directly on the council is a great honor, and I look forward to serving Alabamians through the appointment,” said Hoyle. He lived and taught school in New Orleans until he moved to Mobile and worked at ASMS in 2005.
