Baldwin County Schools: Dual Enrollment, New Roofs

Gulf Coast Media reports that the Baldwin County Board of Education has approved a dual-enrollment credit program with Auburn University and re-roofing projects for several of its schools. An agreement with Auburn will expand the postsecondary education for current high school students and allow current high schoolers seeking enrollment in the school system’s dual-enrollment program to take online college-level courses from Auburn, while attending high school in Baldwin County. The program is open to all Baldwin County high school students and will feature courses taught by current Auburn University faculty and instructors. Additionally, students who successfully complete the course will earn credit toward both high school graduation and a postsecondary educational institution. New roofs were approved for W.J. Carroll Intermediate School for $1,090,000, Swift Elementary School for $300,000 and the Stapleton School for $150,000.
