Barton Academy Establishes PTO

The first group of Barton Academy for Advanced World Studies parents has volunteered to meet with school officials and begin the work of establishing the school’s inaugural parent-teacher organization (PTO). The PTO’s first meeting introduced ways to become involved in the group through various committees and events. A membership drive and a “Getting Started Campaign” are to begin soon. The academy, in the newly renovated historic Downtown Mobile building, is to open in August.
