Bayside Academy Math Teams Headed To State

Daphne’s Bayside Academy has announced its middle school and upper school math teams finished as runners-up at the Alabama Independent School Association (AISA) District Math Competition on January 10. Middle school “mathletes” include eighth graders Tbug Baker; Amelia Hicks; Anna Flynn Hughes; Ethan Kok; Farrah Lane; and seventh grader Huan Chen, who was the highest individual scorer. Upper school mathletes include seniors Hunter Hyderally, Ryan McCullough, Beverley Milteer and John Thomas Neill, and juniors Michael Klimjack and Georgia McInnis. McCullough was the highest individual scorer. Both Chen and McCullough will represent Bayside Academy at the AISA State Math Competition in Montgomery on February 1. Team sponsors are Matthew Lipham and Joe Swagart.
