BCEC Presents $58,000 In Scholarships

The Baldwin County Education Coalition (BCEC) recently presented $58,000 in scholarships to high school seniors and Baldwin County Public Schools employees and their children pursuing a degree in education, along with several prior recipients renewing their scholarships as they continue their education. Future teacher scholarship winners came from Baldwin County High School, Elberta High School, Daphne High School, Spanish Fort High School, Fairhope High School, Robertsdale High School and Foley High School. This year, $10,000 in scholarships were awarded to 10 students pursuing high-demand technical careers. Three recipients were from Baldwin Prep Academy; three were from Robertsdale High School; and one each was from Elberta High School, Fairhope High School, Foley High School and Spanish Fort High School. Additionally, the coalition presented the fifth annual Baldwin Proud Future Teacher Scholarships. Funding for these scholarships is made possible through donor support and the program’s signature fundraiser, the Evening of Education Champions, which raised $64,000 this year.
