Bishop State Furthers Partnership With GCU

Bishop State Community College has signed an agreement with Grand Canyon University (GCU) in Phoenix to create scholarships for Bishop State employees, faculty and graduates pursuing bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programs at GCU. The “educational alliance participant agreement” provides a 10% discount on GCU tuition prices. GCU will also provide marketing literature and informational sessions to Bishop State’s employees, faculty and graduates, and provide a local university development counselor, Diva C. Hall, as the primary contact and resource. GCU is a private Christian college that offers associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees. It offers more than 295 academic programs across nine colleges, including online, evening and campus degree programs. “We have been partners for many years already, as GCU has been supportive of us, our faculty, and our students,” Bishop State President Olivier Charles said. “With this agreement, our students will continue to benefit from this partnership for years to come.”
