CACC To Begin Nursing Apprenticeships

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. — Coastal Alabama Community College (CACC) is joining Gadsden State Community College in kicking off a new apprenticeship program that aims to allow prospective nurses a new avenue to begin their training, while helping meet the demand for nurses, Business Alabama reports. TheAlabama Community College System, in conjunction with theAlabama Office of Apprenticeship, is offering a program that allows healthcare employees to transition into an apprenticeship agreement with a community college. Those accepted will apprentice alongside experienced nurses as they work toward National Council of Licensure Examination certification.
