Coastal Kicks Off Second Phase Of Mental Health Program

Allison Moore, co-founder and president of ThriveWay, was recently invited to talk about mental health awareness at Coastal Alabama Community College’s back-to-school professional development day. Coastal has been working to empower and educate its faculty on the fundamentals of mental health and the pivotal role they can play in the well-being of their students. It is in the second phase of a mental health initiative and partnership with ThriveWay, which works around the country to build mental health awareness campaigns and teach people how to recognize the signs of someone who needs support. During the first phase, Moore worked with Coastal educators to develop their crisis intervention procedures and then trained the faculty on the processes.
