CACC, Baldwin Prep Launch Dual-Enrollment PN Program

Coastal Alabama Community College (CACC) in Bay Minette and Baldwin Preparatory Academy in Loxley have announced the launch of a new dual-enrollment standalone practical nursing (PN) program beginning this fall. The partnership will provide high school students with a direct pathway into one of Alabama’s most in-demand healthcare professions while earning both high school and college credit. Upon successful completion of the program, students will be prepared to pursue licensure as practical nurses and enter the healthcare workforce or continue their education in advanced nursing pathways. The program is designed to address the growing demand for skilled healthcare professionals across the Gulf Coast. The rigorous curriculum will combine classroom instruction, laboratory experiences and clinical training housed through Baldwin Preparatory Academy’s career and technical education framework while leveraging CACC’s expertise in nursing education. Students will receive instruction aligned with state nursing education standards and benefit from hands-on learning experiences in healthcare settings.
