Cook Donates $100,000 To Robertsdale High School Band

ROBERTSDALE, Ala. — Apple CEO Tim Cook recently donated $100,000 to Robertsdale High School’s marching band for marching instruments, WHNT reported. Band Director Lee Hughes said the instruments should see “30 years, 40 years of use…. It’s going to affect thousands of kids. All of the new saxophones, tubas and flutes will not only impact this generation, but [also] the next.” The marching band has almost tripled in size over the last five years. Cook is a Robertsdale High School graduate who played trombone in the band. Yearly, he sponsors almost $50,000 worth of scholarships.
