Denton Named State Outstanding Middle School

Mobile’s Denton Magnet School of Technology was named Alabama’s Most Outstanding Middle School of the Year by the Alabama Technology Student Association (TSA). Denton students won eight first-place awards, three second-place and three third-place awards in a virtual competition as part of the association’s annual state conference, WKRG reported. Those who placed first will go on to compete at the virtual 2021 National TSA Conference in June. Denton offers advanced courses in all subjects. Its students take a design and modeling class in their sixth-grade year and can move up to take classes including robotics, flight and space, medical detectives, TV production, graphic arts, computer science and more.
