FAME Granted $250,000

Baldwin County’s newest technical work-based learning program, FAME Built By Baldwin, in partnership with Coastal Alabama Community College, has received a $250,000 grant. FAME is made up of industry partners from across the region and is actively recruiting for the first cohort of FAME students. Through the Alabama Community College Systems (ACCS) Industry Certification Initiative, Coastal Alabama’s workforce development division received $250,000 to support new equipment for the FAME learning lab at Fairhope Airport Academy. New equipment for the program will include trainers for robotics, programmable logic control, motor controls and alternating- and direct-current drives.
