Flightpath9 Training Program Relaunches, Expands

Mobile Mayor Sandy Stimpson has announced that Flight Works Alabama is relaunching and expanding its 10-week summer FlightPath9 pre-employment training program to include high school seniors and those just starting a career in the aviation industry. This partnership between Flight Works, Airbus, the State of Alabama, Bishop State Community College and the Southwest Alabama Partnership for Training and Employment aims to help advance and develop the skills of those planning to join the industry. Graduates of both programs can also become full-time apprentices at the Airbus Manufacturing Facility in Mobile. Registration is open for those who have graduated from high school and are early in their career. This group will kick off the 2022-2023 program with a virtual meeting on February 21. Current high school juniors will meet virtually on February 23. A parent or guardian is required for students to attend their meeting. Eligible applicants must be 18 years old by September 1, 2023.
