Gulf Shores High Music Lab Opens

The Hangout Music Lab at Gulf Shores High School held a grand opening on November 18, Gulf Coast Media reported. Developed through a partnership with The Hangout Hospitality Group and the Dolphin Foundation for Education and Arts, the facility will allow students to be trained in the music recording and production industries. The lab is equipped with music recording and production equipment and software, a recording studio and a full production stage. The Hangout donated $100,000 to the foundation to fund the lab’s construction. “I don’t believe there is a high school anywhere with a facility like ours,” said Superintendent Dr. Matt Akin.
