Hamilton Named To USA Board Of Trustees

Gov. Kay Ivey has appointed Enterprise, Alabama, businesswoman Meredith Mitchell Hamilton to an at-large seat on the University of South Alabama (USA) Board of Trustees, effective immediately and subject to confirmation of the Alabama Senate. Hamilton serves as treasurer of the Mitchell Automotive Group, general manager of Mitchell Mazda and Toyota of Dothan, and operations manager of Mitchell Hyundai and Mitchell Chrysler Dodge Jeep. She graduated from USA in 1995 with a bachelor’s degree in finance. She is the daughter of John Mitchell, who serves the state as a member of the Alabama Community System Board and other statewide organizations. “I have a strong passion for education, as well as a deep commitment to supporting the growth and success of our state’s universities, and I am grateful to Gov. Ivey for appointing me to South’s Board of Trustees,” said Hamilton. Hamilton’s appointment will expire on September 30, 2027.
