Keel Named USA Department Of Urology Chair

Christopher Keel has been named chair of the department of urology at the University of South Alabama (USA) Frederick P. Whiddon College of Medicine. A board-certified urologist at USA Health University Urology, Keel has served as interim chair of the department since it was established in 2022. He is also program director of the urology residency program. He graduated from Nova Southeastern University’s medical school in Fort Lauderdale and interned in general surgery at the Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, where he also served his residency in urology. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and has treated bladder cancer, enlarged prostates, kidney cancer, kidney stones, prostate cancer, renal cysts/masses and testicular cancer using robotic and minimally invasive surgery.
