MCPSS Hires Deputy of Operations

The Mobile County Public School System (MCPSS) recently welcomed Ernest Scarbrough as its new deputy of operations. Scarbrough, a native of the Mobile area, brings “significant experience in the field of education, coupled with a financial background,” the system said, adding that he is expected “to promote sound fiscal management within the district, while understanding the unique needs of the education community.” He most recently served as a financial advisor for Raymond James. Previously, he served as president of customized school system application developer Wise Technology, LLC and is a previous owner of educational technology supplier Teachers ‘N Tools, Inc. He is also an accredited business intermediary and a licensed financial advisor.
