McRae Named Baldwin County Public Schools Superintendent

The Baldwin County Board of Education has selected Marty McRae as the next superintendent of Baldwin County Public Schools, AL.com reported. McRae most recently served as interim superintendent. His selection comes a few weeks after former Baldwin County Public Schools superintendent Eddie Tyler retired on June 30 after 11 years in the position. McRae has 36 years of public education experience, having served as a teacher, coach, principal, technology coordinator and assistant superintendent in Baldwin County. He holds several degrees and certifications, including a Master of Education from the University of South Alabama (USA), a BS from Auburn University at Montgomery and an administrative certification from USA.
