Miss Eastern Shore Scholarship Pageant Tomorrow

The inaugural Miss Eastern Shore scholarship pageant, a preliminary to the Miss Alabama scholarship organization, will take place on July 29 at Centennial Hall at 6 p.m. on the Fairhope campus of Coastal Alabama Community College, a cosponsor of the event. The pageant, which will be divided into two age groups competing for the titles of Miss Eastern Shore (ages 18-28) and Miss Eastern Shore Teen (ages 13-18), will include a 10-minute private pre-interview, a 90-second talent presentation, evening gown/poise and fitness modeling segments, and on-stage questions from the judges. Each contestant will also be prepared to discuss the project she has chosen for her community service initiative. Recently crowned 2023 Miss Alabama and Mobile native Bri Burrell will serve as master of ceremonies. Miss Eastern Shore will earn a $1,000 scholarship and may compete at the Miss Alabama pageant. Miss Eastern Shore Teen will receive a $300 scholarship and may compete at the state level. Tickets are $10 at the door. For more information, contact the organizers via email.
