MMofA Art In Motion Workshop Coming Up

The Mobile Museum of Art (MMofA) is hosting a summer educational professional development session on June 6 at 9 a.m.-12 p.m. at the museum at 4850 Museum Drive in Mobile. Art in Motion aligns Alabama’s dance courses of study with the state’s physical education content standards to bring dance and creative movement directly into elementary PE classes. Kerri-Noelle Humphrey, executive director of the Alabama Dance Council and creator of the Art in Motion dance curriculum, will show attendees how to expand arts access and enrich learning for Alabama’s youngest students. PE teachers, principals and dance instructors are encouraged to attend, and professional development credit certificates will be offered. For more information, contact Kaitlyn Amanor at email.
