Mobile Education Leader Tapped For Top State Nonprofit Job

Chandra C. Scott, most recently director of strategic outcomes for the Mobile Area Education Foundation (where she has been since 2002), was chosen to be executive director of Alabama Possible, the Birmingham Business Journal recently reported. Scott has previous experience with Alabama Possible as a member of its board of directors. Effective October 26, she is to lead the nonprofit in using “education, collaboration and advocacy” to “break down barriers to prosperity in Alabama.” She added, “Alabama Possible is not only a student-centered organization that is vital to help achieve the governor’s overall goal of 500,000 highly skilled employees by 2025, but it is also the catalyst to bridging resources and talents essential to the success of all post-secondary learners in Alabama.”
