Mobile, Nonprofits Publish Environmental Guide

MOBILE, Ala. — As part of Mayor Sandy Stimpson’s plan to address litter, the City of Mobile has partnered with area nonprofits to make a comprehensive “Environmental Education Program Guide” available to all local schools. The guide includes opportunities for students to learn from Mobile’s environmental nonprofits including the Alabama Coastal Foundation; Dog River Clearwater Revival; Groundwork Mobile County; Keep Mobile Beautiful/Love Your Community; the Mobile Bay National Estuary Program; the Osprey Initiative, LLC; Goodwill Gulf Coast Recycling Center; Mobile Baykeeper; and Partners for Environmental Progress. It is intended for teachers at every grade level in every kind of school.
