National Civics Bee Opens For Middle Schoolers

Sixth, seventh and eighth graders in Alabama are invited to participate in the National Civics Bee through the Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce Foundation. Students with an idea about using civics to improve their community may submit their essays to participate in one local competition in their state. Essays must be submitted by February 4, 2025, and finalists will be announced on February 14, 2025. Top-scoring essay finalists will win cash prizes and be invited to compete at local and state bees happening between March and August 2025. The top winner from each state will receive a trip to Washington, D.C., to compete in the national championship.
