New Training Program for Coastal Alabama Community College

Coastal Alabama Community College in Bay Minette is among five of the first Alabama community colleges to roll out JumpStartAL, a private-public partnership to help carry out the state’s strategy for the future of workforce development, Alabama Newscenter recently reported. It features new virtual-reality training offering education and training programs for prospective highly skilled workers. Training is available for anyone interested in a career in the skilled trades. Plans include a focus on addressing new challenges and opportunities that have arisen from the COVID-19 pandemic. The statewide business community is supporting the initiative through job placement strategies and financial efforts and can join here.
