Orange Beach City Schools Ranked Among Highest In State

 Orange Beach City Schools announced that in 2025, it saw scores by Public Affairs Research Council of Alabama data increase as follows: English language arts (ELA), 9%; math, 10%; and science, 19%. Of Alabama’s 153 traditional and charter school systems, Orange Beach has risen to the top of Alabama’s academic rankings, earning recognition as one of the state’s highest-performing school systems. It ranks second in the state overall in proficiency, with 81% of students in grades 3–8 scoring proficient across math, ELA and science. Its 4th- and 8th-grade students achieved the highest science proficiency scores in the state (up from third last year). Its third- and eighth-graders ranked second in math (up from third last year), and the same group ranked fourth in ELA (seventh last year).
