SHC Recognized, Names Financial Aid Director

MOBILE, Ala. — Spring Hill College (SHC) has been recognized for its commitment to helping undergraduate students by Colleges of Distinction, a guide for college-bound students. The college was recognized in six areas: being named a “2022-2023 College of Distinction,” “Best Catholic College,” “Best in the State of Alabama,” “Best Nursing Degree,” “Best Business Degree” and “Best Career Development Program.” The Colleges of Distinction selection process comprises a sequence of in-depth research and detailed interviews with the schools. Only those that adhere to the distinctions of “Engaged Students,” “Great Teaching,” “Vibrant Community” and “Successful Outcomes” are accepted.Additionally, SHC has named Rebecca Robinson its financial aid director. Robinson, who has been employed by the college since 2014, recently served in the role on an interim basis for several months. She earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Mobile (UM) in 2005 and has worked in higher education since. She started in the Admissions Office and later moved to financial aid. She left UM in 2014 and began at SHC as a part-time temporary employee in the financial aid office, a role that grew into an eight-year career. The Mobile native and Satsuma High School alumna said, “We are currently an office of three with the goal of growing our team so that we can work more effectively and efficiently over time.”
