Spring Hill College Names Chief Marketing Officer

Spring Hill College has named Laura Burton its chief marketing officer. Burton previously served as the college’s director of visual content and brand identity. She has been with the college since 2017. Her career spans more than 25 years in the Mobile area. Before coming to Spring Hill, she owned VERGE, an advertising, marketing and public relations firm that built and managed local and regional brands. In her new role, she is responsible for the college’s overall communications strategy, including strategic planning, marketing strategy, communications strategy, brand strategy, research and trends. Burton has received accolades from the American Advertising Awards, American Graphic Design Awards, National Healthcare Advertising Awards and Public Relations Council of Alabama Medallion Awards. She sits on the National American Advertising Awards Committee and previously served as president of the American Advertising Federation (AAF) Mobile Bay, and governor of AAF District 7.
