Spring Hill College Renews Van Brunt’s Contract

Spring Hill College has announced the renewal of President Dr. Mary Van Brunt’s contract for an additional five years. Since becoming the first woman president of the college in January 2023, Van Brunt has led expanded academic offerings, philanthropic support and new facilities. Under her leadership, the college has broken ground on its Health and Science Innovation Center, and she has secured $13 million in gifts to support the Presidential Leadership Fund and drive strategic initiatives (including the center). Van Brunt has also solidified new academic agreements with Rockhurst University that will expand Spring Hill’s academic reach and provide students with direct access to advanced degrees in high-demand healthcare fields. These are the doctor of physical therapy pathway, the doctor of occupational therapy pathway and a course-sharing consortium that increases curriculum flexibility and course availability.
