Spring Hill To Offer Master’s In Public Health

MOBILE, Ala. — Spring Hill College in Mobile has added a two-year, online master’s in public health program, Business Alabama reported. To begin this fall, the program will consist of a general public health curriculum, with the following three concentrations to be offered within two years: social and behavioral sciences, healthcare policy and advocacy, and community engagement and health education. It is designed to appeal to individuals interested in a career in health professions outside the more traditional programs of medicine, nursing and physical therapy. “Spring Hill is excited to offer a master of public health, as well as an undergraduate minor in public health,” said Lisa Hager, interim provost at Spring Hill. “Public health professionals are needed at local, regional and national levels, and these programs are a perfect fit for our mission to educate and develop students in the Jesuit tradition to become responsible leaders in care and service to others.”
