UM Hires First-Year Experience Coordinator

The University of Mobile (UM) has announced the addition of Alex Herring as its new first-year experience coordinator. Herring is a native of the Mobile area who graduated from Mary G. Montgomery High School and holds a degree in psychology from William Carey University. Her role was previously titled “student achievement specialist.” UM says it renamed this position to provide students, faculty and staff clear indicators of the person to seek out when needs arise.
