UM Offering Cybersecurity Concentration

The University of Mobile (UM) is offering a new cybersecurity concentration in its BS in computer information systems program. UM says the concentration prepares graduates for careers in a field growing four times faster than the average, with a median salary exceeding $90,000. Applications are being accepted now for students interested in the concentration and in any of the 75-plus academic programs offered at UM. The concentration aims to prepare graduates for the certifications of Certified Computer Forensics Examiner, Certified Ethical Hacker and Certified Information Systems Security Professional. “This concentration was developed in collaboration with Fortune 500 companies. It is a low-code, project-based curriculum designed to give students strong critical thinking and practical cybersecurity skills,” explained Dr. Kathy Dunning, dean of the Grace Pilot School of Business at UM.
