USA, 100 Black Men Award Scholarship To Three

The University of South Alabama (USA) and 100 Black Men of Greater Mobile have named three of its seniors as the first recipients of its Leadership in Social Justice and Perseverance Scholarship. Priscilla Agyemang, Amiyah Kelly and Kennedy Reese were awarded for demonstrating leadership, a commitment to social justice and perseverance characteristics. Agyemang and Kelly are roommates, and both plan to attend medical school after completing their undergraduate studies. Reese is a secondary education major and serves as vice president for the USA chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. The 100 Black Men of Greater Mobile, in partnership with the university, established the scholarship in 2020 with an initial gift of $10,000 to remember those who have fallen to systems of oppression and injustice. Those wishing to support the initiative may visit website or call the USA Office of Development at 251-460-7032.
