USA College Of Medicine Ranked Highly For Service

The University of South Alabama’s (USA) Whiddon College of Medicine was recently ranked third overall in supplying physicians to rural and underserved areas by U.S. News and World Report, Mobile Mayor Sandy Stimpson announced. Also, in the most recent rankings released by the American Association of Medical Colleges, USA’s medical school graduates ranked very highly in several crucial categories. USA outranked 99% of medical schools in graduates practicing in underserved areas and 84% of schools in doctors practicing in the state where they were trained. More than 500 doctors in Mobile and Baldwin counties are USA graduates.
