Webb Named Gulf Shores High Principal

Gulf Shores City Schools announced the appointment of Tim Webb as the new principal of Gulf Shores High School, Gulf Coast Media reported. Webb will succeed Cindy Veazey, who is retiring. Webb previously served as principal of Gulf Shores Middle School, where he advanced academic performance, supported innovative instructional practices and fostered a positive school culture. With more than three decades of experience in education and public service, Webb has led at every level. His career includes serving as the Tennessee Commissioner of Education, where he helped shape statewide policy and led initiatives to improve student outcomes and teacher effectiveness. He has also served as a local superintendent, a principal at multiple school levels and an assistant commissioner for the Tennessee Department of Education. He holds a doctorate in educational leadership from Nova Southeastern University, a master’s in educational leadership from Middle Tennessee State University and a bachelor’s in liberal studies. He is certified in both Alabama and Tennessee as a teacher, administrator and superintendent.
