Allman Betts Coming To Civic Center Tomorrow

The Allman Betts Family Revival tour is returning to Mobile at the Mobile Civic Center Theater with a celebration of the late Gregg Allman’s life and music on December 16 at 8 p.m., AL.com reports. Called the Allman Family Revival until this year, the group’s name was changed to reflect the involvement of Duane Betts, who joins Devon Allman and shares a focus on the music of their fathers. Each performance is broken into two sets. One features the music of Gregg Allman, the singer-songwriter known for his work with the Allman Brothers Band and a subsequent solo career, and the other showcases the music of Dickey Betts, the songwriter and guitarist whose influential work with the Allman Brothers Band was augmented by a variety of side projects. Several performing guests are joining the show, including Wet Willie frontman Jimmy Hall. Tickets start at $38, plus fees.
