Group Therapy Tribute To Play In Gulf Shores

The Group Therapy Trio is coming to Big Beach Brewing in Gulf Shores on July 30 at 5:30-7 p.m., with band member Lisa Christian opening the show at 4 p.m. with original music. Christian is a popular musician along the Gulf Coast who was formerly in Christian/Durand (with Lisa Durand), which performed at the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics and 1998 Lilith Fair. The Group Therapy Trio also includes Kay Sorrells, who has provided backup vocals for Elvis tribute artist Shane Tucker for 10 years and led the Promised Land Band. The final member is June Hurston, who lives in Gulf Shores and is also a backup singer for Tucker. The band will play memorable tunes from the Everly Brothers to the Pistol Annies, in addition to original songs.
