McAnally To Play A Day Before Buffett Museum Opens

One of Jimmy Buffett’s closest collaborators will play a “Margaritas & Memories” show at the Mobile Saenger Theatre on September 11, AL.com reported. Presented by the National Maritime Museum of the Gulf, it is scheduled for the day before the museum holds a grand opening for “Son of a Son of a Sailor: The Jimmy Buffett Experience,” an exhibition that will devote 6,000 ft2 to Buffett’s youth in Mobile, his career and his legacy. The show will feature Mac McAnally, an award-winning instrumentalist and songwriter who was one of Buffett’s chief allies, and Scotty Emerick, who sings and plays guitar with Buffett’s longtime backing ensemble, the Coral Reefer Band. Tickets are on sale, and all proceeds will directly benefit the museum. McAnally and Emerick will also play at The Wharf in Orange Beach on July 19.
